We left for our weekend adventure on Carnival's Fun Ship Ecstasy. What a name for a ship. Docked next to us in the Port of Miami was Royal Carribean's ship, Splendour of the Seas.
On the way out of port, we passed the new Miami Arena, still under construction.
We arrived on a beautiful Saturday Morning in Nassau.
On our only day in the Bahammas we decided to take it easy on the beach. We took a short boat ride to Blue Lagoon Island, where we swam and enjoyed the sun. Since it's my camera, I'm not in the pictures, just Cathy......
On the Island is Black Beard's Tower, a reconstructed pirate guard tower, complete with cannon.
On the way back from the Island, we passed the Atlantis resort, it is an incredible sight.
Sunday we were again at sea, we spent part of the time on the Lido Deck, complete with water slide, but it was fairly windy and little cold.
Our cabin steward did a wonderful job in the room. Cathy especially enjoyed his Towel Bunny and Elephant.
We retuned on Monday to reality. We had a fabulous time, but three nights is too short a time to really relax and enjoy. We are already planning our next cruise for May or June of 2000. Anyone interested?
